Cool Stuff

The writing is still going fast and easy right now, so I haven't been spending too much time online. But a few contests I thought were cool and wanted to mention:

Trish Millburn is giving away a pile of books. Contest ends this Sunday, so get on over there and enter! Click on the link to Trish's blog (in my sidebar) to enter.

Gena Showalter is running a "Become a Character in my Book" contest. You can visit Gena's site or click on her blog link in my sidebar to enter.

Hey, thanks for the mention. :) And I like the new photo.

Well, thanks to having to clear out of the house when people come to look AND looking for my own new house, I missed Trish's contest . . . but maybe I can still get in on Gena's. *grin* Wonder if she's got any characters that are going insane because of too much house-cleaning? LOL

Jennifer, who'd really rather be writing . . .

Thanks, Trish! And you're welcome. :)

The worst part, Jennifer, is having to KEEP the house clean for whenever perspective clients want to come and take a peek. I feel your pain. :) We're thinking of selling our house, but I just don't know if I'm up to for that right now...

Oh my gosh, Kelly, it is SUCH a pain!!!! I got a call letting me know that someone was going to look at the house today between 5:15pm and 5:45 -- I figured the little one and I could go to the mall for a bit. No big deal! And it was fine -- we looked at the puppies and kittens in the pet store (had to explain why we weren't going to name any of them to my daughter), then got some dinner and headed home. We ate, got her in the bath . . . then the phone rings. It's the same agent whose clients want to see the house AGAIN. Tonight! Pull daughter out of bath, put her nightgown on and sandals, and head to a friend's house. We got home about 8:15pm. If it hadn't been the same people (who were obviously interested) I would have said NO WAY. But what can you do? I want the house to sell.
