Back on track...

Whew. Okay, I'm back on schedule now with the writing. I was panicking a little since the 'creativity well' had seemingly dried up.

On another note - it sucks royally when you've come up with a completely new angle and concept for a book, you write it, and then a NY bestselling author's book hits the shelves and it basically the same concept as yours. Gah. 'Nough said.

Just ordered 'Jewel of Atlantis' and 'Unleash the Night'... Woo-hoo! I'll be a happy reader in a few days.

I hate when that happens! Just remember, the premise may be the same, but the story is different. You will always tell your story. No two writers have the same story. At least, that's what I tell myself. The book I'm working on right now is about parallel universes and a well-known author/agent is coming out with a book about parallel universes soon, too. (Okay, I'll just say it...Deidre Knight.) Oh well. I'll still write it. Maybe she'll start a trend for me. The same could be true for you!

So glad you're back on track... awesome! And hey, Kelly, I know exactly how you feel. It's terrible when that happens! :(

Happy reading.

Hey Kelly. I know exactly what you mean. I had a gargoyle story but someone beat me to it. I know the stories would be different but I kind of shelved the story for now. Good news is I have a new story I am working on and I'm really excited about it. Sometimes you need a lil break to get the creative juices flowing.
:D

The ups and downs of writing can be heartbreaking - that's for sure!! Sorry to hear about that.

I know you'll love Jewel of Atlantis!

Thanks for the support ladies. I think you're right, Kelli. I mean look how many vamps books are out there. Tons. Good luck with yours! Mine is with my agent and still being submitted so we'll see how it goes. In the meantime, I'm focusing on something new...
