Things seem quiet everywhere. In town. Online. A lot of my writing pals are getting ready for conference, and I'm kinda missing the fact that I won't be attending this year. Ah well, I can't complain; the next two weeks are going to be heaven for me. Yes. Heaven. Despite the heat. The children are spending time away with their grandparents, auntie and cousins. The house will be eerily silent.
YES!!!
Kelly shall be writing. And that, my friends, is heaven. ;-)

That's not fair! No, seriously, congrats on the silence. Next month I finally get some vacation from work and while my daughter will still be at home, my son will be at all day band camp, so I hope to get lots of writing done.
Knowing my luck, though, I'll probably end up entertaining my husband and daughter the whole time. He wants me published, but he doesn't want to give up his time with me. Gee. Something's gotta give.
Hey Kelly! I totally agree, that sounds great. :)
And I wouldn't mind some of that heat over here. It's so cold in Sydney at the moment. :/
LOL, LeeAnn. I know what you mean! Here's hoping next month you can get in some quality time alone to write... maybe send the hub and daughter out for some bonding time. ;-)
Okay, Yolanda, I will trade you your cold for my hot. If only. :)
Great that you're going to have peace and quiet. It sucks that you aren't going to conference because there are two chances of you winning the GH! What are you thinking! Hope to catch you next year!
Oh, I'll definitely be there next year!! And I can drive to DC. No flying, which means no stress, no Xanax/Valium cocktail, no recovery period, no constant worry about the flight home, and just a damn good time instead! ;-)
