In other thoughts . . . This is the first book (Book 2) that I'm writing without a title. Weird. I always have the title when I began the rough draft. But then, this is my first sequel, too, so maybe that's the difference. Who knows. It's also the first book I'm writing under contract with a deadline that is not my own. THE BETTER PART OF DARKNESS was already written when I sold, but B2 was sold based on a short synopsis.
Pressure = motivation. :D So say we all.

Deadlines suck, but are effective.
Did your original title for #1 stick?
Yes, my original title is staying! I'm so happy about this b/c the title fits the plot so perfectly and I just love it. :)
Hey Kelly! Cool idea about posting your progress. I'm looking forward to reading #1 in the series. ;)
Have a great day!
what's your average daily limit for the workds ?? just thought should ask
Thanks Yolanda! :)
ken-G: I try for 2,500 words per day, which is about ten pages (give or take). For the first book, I did about a chapter per day (4-5,000) words, but that was life before baby . . .
I usually have a working title, which rarely sticks. My book I'm selling now has gone through three title changes, although I'm rather happy with the most recent one. I think it finally fits the book.
The Better Part of Darkness is just a totally awesome title. Wish I'd thought of it. (pouts)
