Why? Because it's refreshingly different, that's why.
Do you like when the lines between good and evil are blurred, and blurred for good reason? Like superheroes and supervillians with actual substance, with their fair share of flaws, conflicts, relationships, and kick-ass abilities? Read. This. Book. It's so damn cool.

I'm halfway (a little more) through Black and White right now. I love the way it's shaping up. In real life (even with out the superheroes), things are never rigidly good or bad, so having that reflected in books is believable. Even when trying to do good, governments, churches, people, etc. all tend to handle things less than perfectly. The best of intentions never produce completely wonderful acts.
Yes! Exactly. That's what I really love about this book, too. :-)
