Oy. Tis Monday.
Realized we're almost at the three month mark until BPOD debuts. Three months!!
Been taking a little R&R, catching up on my reading, spending time with the family, writing in my journal -- my idea journal. I've tried the diary style journaling before, and can't seem to get into that, but I do so love my 'everything' journal. I fill it with ideas, notes, names, words, made-up words, anything that strikes me. I used to have this kind of stuff in several different spiral notebooks scattered around the house, but finally decided to condense this chaos into one easy to locate place. It's working. :-)
Oh, and there will be more ARC contests for The Better Part of Darkness forthcoming. I should have enough to do a contest every month until my debut.
How do you guys feel about companion novels? I really like how Kelley Armstrong did this with her Otherworld series, branching out from Elena into other characters...
Well, folks, that's it for my Monday ramblings. Hope everyone had a nice weekend!

Cool..I like contests
Woo hoo, more chances to win!
I was actually really nervous after I read Kelley Armstrong's Stolen. I didn't really like Paige all that much in that book, so I was afraid I wouldn't like Dime Store Magic, but then I read it and fell in love with Paige. Her Women of the Otherworld is a great series!
Oh good, Chris & Lesleen. Glad to hear you guys are up for another contest!
Suzie -- I know! I felt the same way about Paige and she ended up being one of my favs. One of Kelley's books that I'm curious about is Living with the Dead since it has 3 different narrators and it's 3rd person. It's in my ever growing TBR pile...
I like reading about other characters in the same universe/bookworld. I especially liked how Kelley Armstrong was able to write them all in first person. I get a taste of many different personalities.
I'm looking forward to your book coming out too, are you sure it's going to be 3 months? :)
I think sometimes companion novels are good for those who are interested in knowing everything there is to know about the 'world building'. Even Sherrilyn Kenyon had an extensive one. I am glad you're journaling. Sounds like a great creative tool and something to help you remember things. I tend to forget easily. :)
Excited that it's only 3 months until your release!
do i have a chance to win too?
