The Magic District and more...

I've joined a bunch of really cool authors at The Magic District. It's a group blog consisting of me, Diana Rowland, Greg van Eekhout, Tim Pratt, Margaret Ronald, Rachel Aaron, N. K. Jemisin, Jeannie Holmes, Michele Lang, Lisa Shearin, Kalayna Price, and M.K. Hobson. I'll be posting this Thursday...

And good news: I'm done with revisions on THE DARKEST EDGE OF DAWN. Been working every available moment, and I'm sure some of you might have noticed the silence here and elsewhere. I have a ton of catching up to do-- replies, emails, yahoo group stuff. Bear with me, the whole head-in-the-sand thing is almost over. Just a few more days of polishing up and fixing any small mistakes, etc..

I polished 110 pages yesterday. Six hours straight (er, except for a bathroom break or two, and a few minutes to heat a microwave meal). Hoping to get another 100 pages done today. *fingers crossed* And I am twenty-five minutes behind schedule because I had to get online and order pet medication and deal with an irritating bank issue. Fun. But now, I'm done with all and can get back to work! See ya!

Pet medication - is someone not well? :-(

VERY cool on the progress! Can I just say banks are evil and always annoying?

Thanks for asking, Tez. It's just some topical stuff -- so no biggie. :-)

Thanks, Moonsanity! The worst are those automated menus -- twenty minutes of pressing buttons on my phone, and going through every menu option, only to discover there is no option for why I was calling. *sigh*

Dear Kelly,
I just finished your book and told my husband it's the best thing I've read in a long time. He said, "I don't hear you say that often!" I've been looking for your next one and found it'll be out in August. Argh! Oh, well. I read a book about every 10 days or less. I really enjoyed Charlie. Thanks for writing a really good book. I also enjoyed your blog. I have danes, too. They are such silly beasties. Your winter pic reminded me how much I miss TN snows - 'know you're in NC. My husband's family is Knoxville, etc.
Anyway, happy New Year.

Thanks, LRobinson! So great to hear you liked the book. *yay* :D And cool that you have Danes -- yes, they are really goofy animals sometimes, lol.

Happy New Year to you as well!

And can you believe, there's supposed to be snow here in N.C. tonight?! *fingers crossed*

Take Care, and thanks so much for writing. :-)
